The Three Shades of White

I don’t think anyone really thinks about the different shades of white until they’re planning a wedding (or maybe painting a room). The truth is there is no one right choice, and no one at your wedding will even think about it. Make sure you choose the shade of white that looks best on you. Reference the white of your eyes to get a good idea of the right shade of white for you.

Stark White

Stark White is as white as it gets. It is bright and can be harsh on many skin tones. The color is most often obtained by the use of bleach. It is great for a bold, outgoing personality.

Natural White

Natural White is a softer version of Stark White. It is usually found in natural fibers like chiffon and silk. It is not for everyone, as it can wash out several skin tones. Stark white and Natural White both have a cool, blue undertone.

Ivory

Ivory is super popular because it is not as bright as Stark or Natural White, and flatters most skin tones. Ivory has a warm undertone.
